Aids Walk 2007

Aids Walk 2007

In cityscapes, issues, people, photoblog by Steve

Just… wow. I cannot believe how many people showed up at the Aids Walk LA yesterday. I’m even more surprised that in apathetic LA, this many people would actually not flake. This shot is just at the half way point at La Brea looking down Melrose Blvd. The people kept coming and coming, it was packed like this for 45 minutes straight. I would have the say the crowd was as least 3/4 of a mile long. They are saying 30,000 participants so far, but I have seen Santa Monica Blvd on Halloween when 200k people were there, and this crowd was WAY bigger. More photos on Flickr later in the week.

On a side note, I’ve finally hit 100 photos on this site. Now I just need to get the other 100 in at least half the time.
