In honor of Halloween, I’m featuring some pictures of the VoodooFest on Halloween night last year at Voodoo Authentica of New Orleans. This was the Ancestral Reverence Ceremony, featuring Mama Lola, Mambo Maggie & Luther Gray of Bamboula 2000. If you are in town tonight, I highly recommend you stop by there on your travels. If you have ever been to New Orleans, you know Voodoo is not something to be feared as the way it has been portrayed in the past, and just fits into the local lifestyle as another aspect of it. Everyone have a safe All Hallow’s Eve today, and remember to give a nod and quick reverence to any passing spirits you may encounter. They want to say hello and check up on you, and just might be someone you know. As always, those on FB, click the link to see the rest of the pictures.
